Pratinav

I have a little brother
Pratinav is his name
Although he's good at all
Cricket is his game
One look into his dark brown eyes
I'm sure you will dissolve
Give him anything that's in his course
All sums he will solve
Whenever his hair grow a little too long
I'm sure I'll get a stroke
Besides being a cute sweet bro
He's quite a nice bloke
He can sing quite well when he does
And plays his casio fine
All these qualities are definitely there
In this little brother of mine
That's all I'll tell you about my bro
I can't give away all our secrets
But there is more than these to him
I'm sure you can bet.

My wishlist

I wish to scale a mountain, the highest I may find,
I wish all to be nice to living beings their kind.
I wish that my bro becomes whatever he's good at,
Whether its football, ruling a country, going out to bat.
I wish I had an elder bro, which cannot come true
So all I can now say, my cousin bros will do.
I wish to eat tons of कढ़ी, as much as I can eat,
If this one comes true, I'll give you a कढ़ी treat.
I wish there were no homework, so I'll be so very free,
Then maybe I'd find time for my wish to climb a tree.
I wish my cousin Adi would stop troubling her mum,
And when she grows up and matures becomes my best chum.
I wish I had powers, like ones I have in my book,
And most of all that is just the way I want to look.
I wish I were a demigod and had a lethal sword,
(If you don't get lethal, go check Oxford).
I wish I had more time, to make this poem long,
But my teacher is calling for the practice of my song.

The Li'll Queen

I have a friend, the little queen
Who can create the perfect scene
In sketches and reality
With her pet the cute Kitty
She sits online for hours on end
Chatting to her online friends
To her back she never gave a thought
Thus later survical she fought
She moved around with a stooped back
And shoulders hunched and slack
That's why she's called the little queen
Who knows shape and motion tween.

MORAL: We should keep our shoulders straight.

Zzzzzzzzzzz

Once I drifted off to sleep, while sitting in the class
The texture of my blazer reminded me of grass
I dreamt that I was swimming in the swimming pool
While my friends poured water on me for sleeping in school
I dreamt that mummy got a call, and me winning a prize
While mummy did get a call, because I did not rise
I dreamt I got a new hairstyle, hair locked in a bun
While on my head was made a project by the teacher's son
I woke up to find the class empty, and me looking a fool
As I had overslept and for vacations closed was the school.

MORAL: One should not sleep in class if it is the last day.

The Strange Dream

Once a strange dream I had
I was there with mum and dad
In a cage we all sat
It had food, furniture and mat
Then came a bird on the scene,
Dressed lavishly like a queen
She said her name was Birdie Bird,
All i heard was chirp-chirp-chirp
She looked a lot like mum's pet
Near whom none of us could get
She kept us caged for days on end
Without family, foe or friend
Caging animals is not a trend
Is what I learnt, and I don't petend.
I woke up with a start and scream,
Learning a lesson from my dream
I went to mummy's pet in rage,
To free the bird from the cage
But it had already been done,
By my own dad & mum.

Freedom

Think of a lucky cage,
Containing a bird in rage,
The poor thing needs freedom,
Not the cage and the boredom,
What happens to its family,
If the bird is set free?
Just like the cage-so lonely and so empty,
On finding the bird nowhere, its mum fell like Humpty-Dumpty.
If you lose someone near and dear,
Won't you be dreaded with all sorts of fears?
And the bird, sitting alone,
In a bit of water it wants to drown,
Not a ray of hope is left,
My owner has done this theft.
Once again I tell you my friend,
Caging a bird is no ,more a trend.

-ity Poem

There never is electricity,
in this borin' old city,
but I and my kitty,
make a team; Kitty & Witty,
but Kitty is the one I pity,
as she is not at all witty.
